A Few Great After Christmas Deals...

I don't have any real plans for shopping, but I know a few stores that have some amazing deals going on right now. JCPenney has awesome sales this weekend. I went to the one near my mom's house this morning and got a lot of great stuff for an amazing discount. Close to 90% off! They have coupons right near the front door for $10 off $50 or more or $15 off $75 or more. The best part is: these coupons do not take off a strict dollar amount off the entire order, but instead they end up taking off a percentage of each item so that the discount ends up equaling 10 or 15. Since they ring this way, they are able to scan both coupons. We ended up getting $25 dollars off both purchases we made today! I'm not positive how long these coupons are good for, but I think it is just through tomorrow. Check out JCPenney.com and you can print the coupons right from the website.

Another huge sale is at Bath and Body Works. This starts tomorrow and will last for at least a week. This is their Semi-Annual sale which happens in July and December. I went last year and got a few things, but I went in July and stocked up on a lot of big discounts. Their regular size lotions, body washes, and baody sprays were around $2 or $3 in July and I am assuming they will be the same this week. It was not all of their scents, only select ones, but I think in July it was around 30 different scants that were this cheap. It your in need for some Bath and Body Works, go check out your local store. They also have the online sale, but I prefer to smell everything first. It makes buying it more fun. LOL. You can stock up on some too, for birthdays thoughout the year and other gifts for various events.

I will try to post all my deals on here next week or so, maybe after the new year. I have some good trips to share and I need to get back on top of outlining CVS and Walgreens deals every week. I hope everyone had a Happy Holiday (whichever you celebrate) and wish everyone a Happy New Year!!

Christmas Break

I probably won't post much of anything this week and next due to Christmas. Today, I have too much to get done before we leave tomorrow and I don't know what the weekend will be like with family. So thanks everyone and be sure to come back to Chicago Savings after the holidays!
Have a great holiday season!

I think I spend too much time in front of the computer.....

So when I see someone with a list of giveaways on their blog, I tend to head over and enter any giveaways that I think I would enjoy or that someone I know would enjoy. The good news, I happen to win every so often. The bad news, I think I spend too much time here and not enough time taking care of other things.

One of my recent wins was:

Okay, so it's kind of a bad picture. But I won a $20.00 coupon (yes, that's right, I said $20.00!) off of Jennie O turkey! I am really excited about this! Actually, I was supposed to go grocery shopping today and I would have used this, but now it's snowing and I think that whole walking to the store thing can wait til tomorrow. Anyways.., Lori over at Moms By Heart gave me this wonderful giveaway and she threw in some extra coupons from her stash! How awesome! head on over and check out Moms By Heart. It's a great blog.
I also need to credit Lori for helping me find VistaPrint. You can get 250 business cards for FREE! All you pay is shipping. Might want to check this out if you have any need for business cards.

Some Walgreens Deals This Week

There are some good deals this week at Walgreens. I am going to head over later this week because I'm pretty sure they will have another 4 day sale and I just might spend more than $25 to earn some more RR.

This week:

*I have really been displeased with my Walgreens lately, so I don't know what else I will get, but you can check out some other deals here thanks to the thrifty mama!*

I plan on going back and getting a few more things. i want to get more of the ProMax bars since they are free, but this is a monthly deal. I think a coupon came one week in the paper, but somehow I can't find mine. There is also a TON of clearanced makeup, so with coupons some of those should be free. There aren't a lot of great deals this week, but next week will have a ton of free items! You can check out some more deals for this week at the Thrifty Mama.

$25 Gift Cerficicate for only $2!

Right now, you can get a $25 gift certificate for only $2! At Restaurant.com, pick your restaurant and at checkout enter the code SANTA. You can also get a $10 gift certificate for only .80! I won a giveaway!

I really should have posted this last month, but I wasn't really able to do much blogging then. I entered quite a few giveaways during the big October bloggy giveaway carnival and I won one! Here's what I got:

Not a great picture, but I don't want to open it. It includes a box of chex mix turtle bars, chocolate candles, caramel lotion, a loofah, hand massager, nail brush, and spa towel. I am so excited to give this to my aunt for Christmas. I know she will just love it! This is all thanks to The Life of a Home Mom. Thanks so much!
